Salim Khan Opens Up on His Love with Helen Calls it Emotional Accident

In a conversation with his son Arbaaz Khan, Salim Khan claimed that meeting Helen and falling in love with her was a “emotional accident.” Additionally, he discussed his relationship with Salma Khan, the mother of Arbaaz, Sohail, and Salman Khan.

Veteran author Salim Khan married actor Helen after falling in love with her in 1981. However, he was already married to Salma Khan and the father of Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan at the time. Salim admitted recently that falling in love with her was not his aim and called it a “emotional accident.”

Salim will appear on Arbaaz Khan’s brand-new Bollywood Bubble chat programme, and the promo for it has already been released. Salim responded, “She was young, I was also young,” when his son Arbaaz inquired about his relationship with Helen. It wasn’t my aim, I say, “Mera koi aisa iraada nahi tha.” “This is an emotional accident,” he continued. The phrase “This may happen to anyone” often used.

Salim was also questioned by Arbaaz about his relationship with Salma Khan. He recalled with fondness how they used to meet in secret and how when he finally went to meet her father, the entire neighbourhood came to see him. Idhar udhar kahin, Chhup ke milte. I want to meet your folks, Maine kaha ki nahi. We would meet in secret. Jab main gaya, sab mere ko dekhne ke liye aa gaye the jaise zoo mein koi janwar aaya hai naya ki dekhne chalte hain My request to meet your parents was made. Everyone gathered to see me when I was there, as if I were a zoo attraction.

Salim’s breakup with Javed Akhtar was another topic of discussion. A number of the most well-known movies from the 1970s, including Deewar, Sholay, Yaadon Ki Baarat, and Trishul, were written by the writing team known as Salim-Javed. Salim agreed that they weren’t particularly close friends but claimed that he was “sad” when they split up. They split up after 11 years, and Javed revealed in a recent interview with BBC Hindi that their success was mostly to blame for their breakup.

He said, “Shuru mein jab hum nakaam log the, struggle kar rahe the, toh bilkul ek the. Koi humare aur dost nahi the, hum hi baith ke subah se shaam tak kaam karte the. Shaam ko bhi saath the, raat ko khana bhi saath hota tha. 24 mein se 15-16 hours toh saath hi hote the (In our earlier unsuccessful days, we were struggling, we were one. We did not have any other friends, we would work together from morning to evening. We would even have dinner together. Out of 24, we would spend 15-16 hours together).”
