With each passing day, the options for Prabhas’ Salaar release date are dwindling. After its postponement from September 28, the next suitable release window would have been in November, December, or January.
However, November is ruled out due to the simultaneous releases of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and Shah Rukh Khan’s The Marvels on Diwali, November 10. November 24 was a possibility, but then comes December 1 with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
The next available slot is during the Christmas week, but that’s no cakewalk either. December 21 has SRK’s Dunki and DC’s Aquaman, making it a challenging time to secure screens, especially IMAX ones, for Salaar. This leaves the team with Sankranthi as the last resort, although it’s already packed with films like Guntur Kaaram, Hanuman, and more.
It’s clear that the makers missed a golden opportunity with the September 28 date, which was ideal for a massive film like Salaar. The blame for this predicament falls squarely on their shoulders, as their decisions have not only affected their own project but have also created chaos for other films in the industry.
