Rebel Star Prabhas is set to rock the screens with his action-packed drama ‘Salaar,’ hitting theaters in multiple languages on December 22nd. The film, directed by Prasanth Neel, has generated massive buzz and high expectations across India, especially in the Kannada film industry (Sandalwood). Interestingly, around a week later, on December 29th, Kannada superstar Darshan’s ‘Kaatera’ is slated for release.
During a recent press event, Darshan confidently addressed the competition, stating, “I’m focused on my Kannada film, not concerned about ‘Salaar’ or any other movies. They should be worried about us. My film is a pure Kannada creation, and I trust the immense support of my Kannada audience.”
‘Kaatera,’ directed by Tharun Kishore Sudhir, is shrouded in secrecy, revolving around a real-life 70s incident involving farmers. Adding to the intrigue, the film marks the debut of Aradhanaa, daughter of veteran actress Malashree.
While some speculate about ‘Kaatera’ potentially being overshadowed by ‘Salaar’ in theaters, Darshan remains unwavering in his stance. ‘Salaar’ boasts a star-studded cast featuring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu and others. Produced by Hombale Films, The clash between these two eagerly awaited films has set the stage for an exciting battle at the cinemas.
