Indian cinema is currently facing a difficult phase as theatre footfalls have reduced and viewers have become very selective about the films they watch.
Because of this many producers are facing financial pressure. Baby director Sai Rajesh recently spoke openly about the reality of the industry during an event.
Talking about his upcoming production Chennai Love Story he said he is worried about whether the content is genuinely reaching audiences.
Sai Rajesh revealed that many people are now buying YouTube views, comments, and positive social media trends to counter negativity online. Due to this, it has become hard to identify real audience reactions.
He also said only a few genres are working in Telugu cinema now. Sai Rajesh added that if Baby released today, it might not collect even half of its original box office numbers.
