Thandel is set to hit theaters on February 7th, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. On January 31st, the film’s team launched the trailer in Mumbai. However, Sai Pallavi couldn’t attend due to health issues.
She fell sick with a fever after traveling for multiple promotions and was advised to rest for two days.
Director Chandoo Mondeti mentioned that she was supposed to be at the Hindi trailer launch but couldn’t make it due to exhaustion from back to back events.
Thandel is based on real incidents from D Matchilesam village in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. The film is produced by Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts and presented by Allu Aravind.
Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is also working on Ramayana, where she will play Sita alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Ram.
