Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej’s and director Deva Katta’s film, Republic was released on October 1st amidst good expectations among the audience. But the film has opened to below-par reports from the critics and moviegoers.
As per the trade reports, by the end of its first weekend, Republic has posted decent numbers at the Telugu box office. As per the sources, after minting Rs 2.01 crore on its first day, the film has collected Rs 1.24 crore on its second day which also happens to be Gandhi Jayanti public holiday. On Sunday, the film has generated Rs 1.20 crore revenue in twin Telugu states taking the 3-day total share to Rs 4.45 crore with a gross of Rs 7.30 crore.
As per the inside reports, the film has to collect a share of more than Rs 12 crore to be a safe venture for all the parties involved and we have to wait and see how far will Republic performance on the weekdays.
