Gautam Vasudev Menon is a respected director all over Southern India. He has been struggling lately with the release of his latest bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu, Accham Yembadu Madamayida with Silambarasan and Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo with Naga Chaitanya, respectively.
He put his tamil film on hold after starting it 2013 with Simbu for his film with Ajith, Yennai Arindhal in 2014 and resumed the shooting of the film Accham Yembadu Madamayida in 2015 after the release of Yennai Arindhal. Initially it was planned on in Tamil, but he changed his plans in 2015 to make it as a bilingual with Manjima Mohan as the lady lead in both the films.
To increase his vows, Simbu got into several controversies and went through a low phase in his career with his films not releasing for paat three years till Vaalu and Idhu Namma Aalu saw the light of the day. Allegedly, depressed Simbu didn’t show up for the shooting as well, for few schedules.
But there was no such problems with Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo, as Naga Chaitanya is not a controversy prone actor like Simbu and the film shooting was done long time back. It was waiting in the cans to release once Gautam Vasudev Menon delivers the final Cut. But the director is adamant to find a common release date for both the versions, just like Ye Maaya Chesaye and Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, the previous magical love saga in both versions with the same lead actor Director combination.
Producers Kona Venkat, Ravinder Reddy are keen on releasing the movie soon now, as Simbu and Gautam completed the shoot of pending song for their Tamil Version. The film as per tamil news sources, could release by September 30th. Kona Venkat is in talks with Naga Chaitanya and the producers of his yet another ready for release film, Premam.
Premam is locked for a Dussehra release on October 7th and the producers are very keen on not losing the festive advantage. Now, Kona and Gautam are trying to convince Chaitanya saying that the releasing both his big movies back to back within a week would effect both the movies collections and are trying to convince Chaitanya to postpone Premam for two to three weeks and instead release Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo for Dussehra.
As per the believable sources, Chaitanya and producers are keen on releasing Premam for Dussehra and instead asking Sahasam to be released after Premam, so that if Premam becomes a hit, they would have an additional advantage as the film with several delays and year and half long production does not have enough buzz among common audience and industry. Well, we have to wait and see what would be the resolution to the issue.
