The small film Sahaa has gained attention mainly because of the bold challenges made by its lead actors during promotions. The heroine promised to shave her head if the film failed, while the hero confidently asked audiences to watch the film and criticize him if they were even slightly disappointed. Did their confidence match the movie? Let’s find out in the review.
Sahaa Story: Sanju, a government employee, has loved Saha since childhood. After several challenges, they get married and Saha becomes pregnant. Later, Sanju loses his job, causing problems with Saha and her family. He becomes frustrated and focuses on preparing for a government job. But an unexpected tragedy changes their lives, leading to the rest of the story.
Performances: Shiva Kumar did a good job in the film. His variations as a schoolboy, college student, and government employee are impressive. He performed well and suited the role. Swetha Lakshman also delivered a good performance and looked convincing. Vrajana Pandya’s role helped take the story towards its ending. However, the other supporting characters do not make much of an impact.
Technical Aspects: The film has an outdated story with many illogical scenes. The dialogues are natural, while the production values are decent. The climax accident scene is realistic and impactful. Shekar Chandra’s songs and background score are among the film’s positives.
Analysis: The teaser and trailer already reveal most of Sahaa’s story. The film offers no major surprises beyond that. Even with more theatres, it does not have the potential to collect Rs. 50 crore or even half of that amount.
Verdict: Predictable story and weak narration make Sahaa a disappointing watch, despite decent performances, natural dialogues, and good music.
