Prabhas became an All-India star with Baahubali series. He gave five years of his time for the series and the movies became huge blockbusters in Indian Cinema ever. The main reason for marketing the film globally and Nationally, mainly in North Indian markets is Karan Johar. The popular director-producer-writer took the film promotions on his shoulders and once the movie became a phenomenon, he himself said that for the second part he is not required.
After Baahubali-2, Prabhas is coming with Saaho and the movie is a mega-budget extravaganza. The 150 crore budget film is being made in Hindi and Telugu. It will release in Tamil, Malayalam and other major languages too. The shoot for this movie is going on in Abu Dhabi under the scorching sun and the team is trying to bring to reel a huge action sequence and Kenny Bates is overlooking the stunt choreography, while Sujeeth Sign is directing the film.
The Hindi theatrical rights had been for sale and Karan Johar was in the race till T-SERIES, got them. UV Creations, the producers were negotiating the price and business model with Karan Johar, but the producer quoted low amount to that of T-Series and immediately, UV Creations confirmed the deal with them. This did not go down well with Karan Johar, as he wanted Prabhas to be loyal to him for helping out during Baahubali. Hence, both are no-longer willing to work with each other as per the Hindi tabloid news. Well, this is not true as per the few sources and Prabhas is very much in touch with Karan Johar, as per his close sources.
