Veteran actor and theatre artist S. Ve. Shekher recently reflected on his six decade long journey in the entertainment industry.
Now 76 he has performed in over 7,100 stage shows, acted in more than 90 films and appeared in several TV serials.
Shekher made his stage debut at the age of 10 and learned the craft while working backstage in his father’s drama troupe.
He later worked with renowned artists like V. Gopalakrishnan and Crazy Mohan which proved to be turning points in his career.
In 1973 he co-founded the theatre troupe Natakhapriya which went on to stage thousands of successful performances in a amazing way.
Shekher credits comedian Nagesh for shaping his comic timing and says his willingness to adapt to changing viewers tastes helped him enjoy a much long and successful career without fail.
