Choreographer turned director Lawrence is back with a mass entertainer titled, Rudhrudu. Let’s see how it fares.
Story: Set in Vizag backdrop, Rudhrudu revolves around a don named named Bhoomi (Sharathkumar). Why is Bhoomi such as ruthless person? Why will Rudhrudu go against Bhoomi persons and kills them? Later, he shifted based to London? What happened when he returns from London? In the meantime,what happens in the personal life of Rudhrudu with Ananya(Priya Bhavani Shankar)? How will Bhoomi do after gets to know about his brutal murder of his friends? What is the connection between Rudhrudu and Bhoomi? To know that you have to watch the film in the cinemas near you.
Performances: As expected, Lawrence is energetic in the lead role. He is fine is his acting capabilities and tries to develop the screen with his outstanding screen presence.
Sharathkumar is superb as a negative shaded character. He emotes the action part with his natural acting and delivers a impressive acting.
Priya Bhavani Shankar is homely is the given character character. She is captivating in the given role and fine in with performance in the given purposeful role.
Especially, Lawrence mesmerizing with his tarde mark dance move in one of the romantic duets.
The mother emotion in the film is explored nicely without any melo-drama.
Technicalities: Cinemautography work by RD Rajashekhar is top-notch as he presented the entire film on a lavish note. The frames are captivating as so is the case with the camera angles.
Artwork department did a fine job with the mesmerizing work. Editing work is fine. Dilaouge written by the writer department
are good as they never give you a feel of watching a dubbed film.
Music scored by talented musician GV Prakash Kumar registers. His background score elevates the mood of the film neatly.
Production design work is apt for proceedings. Production values for this limited budget movie are okay.
Analysis: Debutant turns producer Kathiresan directs Rudhrudu. When it comes to the direction, Kathiresan made sure he focused on the film instead of wasting time on unwanted deviations.
Though the worked on a regular commerical aspects, the director mainly focused on commercial elements which will be liked by the mass audience. To summerize, Rudhrudu is a well-packed commercial entertainer that has a high chance to click at th ticket windows.
Verdict: Regular masala entertainer!
