The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has put all filmmakers in a fix, given that their release dates have become null and void, and because there’s no clarity for any filmmaker over how safe it is to release a film right now, given the uncertain circumstances.
In the meantime, several biggies are planning to be released this year, as they have been put on hold for quite some time now. This includes KGF2, Acharya, and the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshium. However, the producers of these films are being conscious, given that RRR is scheduled to release for Dussehra, on October 13th.
As a result, these biggies are being planned to release in the later months, aiming for a November, December release. On the other hand, Pushpa’s release is in a fix because of all of this. Pushpa is being made in two parts and on a massive, pan-Indian scale. This means that the film cannot take any risks with its release. With so many big films lined up for release between October and December, the makers of Pushpa have to plan their release accordingly. It is being said that Diwali is being considered as the potential release date of the film, as the makers feel that the festival season will be of great help to them.
