While in the US for the 95th Academy Awards, where RRR’s Naatu Naatu is up for Best Original Music, Jr NTR attended
The 95th Oscars’ song “Naatu Naatu” has been nominated, and “Emily in Paris” star Lucien Laviscount posed for a photo with Jr. NTR.
NTR is presently in the US for the 95th Academy Awards, where the song Naatu Naatu from his epic historical action film RRR is up for Best Original Song. In Beverly Hills, Laviscount stumbled with the Indian actor and they struck up a conversation about “RRR” and NTR’s tiger sequence.
Recollecting the meeting between Jr NTR and Lucien Laviscount, a source said: “Lucien recognised NTR instantly from RRR and came to greet him and congratulate him on his success of RRR. They later even chatted about the film and Lucien was very keen on knowing how NTR shot the interval sequence with the animals and could not stop himself from praising NTR and his performance.”
“Naatu Naatu” has become a popular phrase throughout award season. This year, it has already received a Critics’ Choice Award and a Golden Globe. The song is competing at the Oscars against Lady Gaga’s and Rihanna’s songs.
The fictional account of two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, and their struggle against the British Raj is told in the movie “RRR,” which features Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran. The story, which takes place in the 1920s, focuses on the unrecorded period of their life when both revolutionaries choose to live quiet lives before waging war for their nation.
RRR, which was directed by SS Rajamouli, won “Best Original Song” at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards in addition to “Best Song” and “Best Foreign Language Film” at the 2023 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. In addition, the movie won the Spotlight Award, Best International Feature, Best Original Music, Best Stunts, and Best Action Picture at the recent Hollywood Critics Association Awards.
