After several delays, and over two years of filming, director Rajamouli’s RRR, which has NTR playing Komaram Bheem, and Ram Charan playing Alluri Sitaramaraju, is all set for a grand theatrical release on January 7th, 2022. The promotions for the film are said to begin from Diwali, with the much-awaited teaser of the film expected to release for Diwali.
On the other hand, considering the budget and the expectations of the film, it is common for the film to be sold at high prices. However, while most of the markets in India might be in the position to afford these high prices, the distributors and others belonging to the exhibition industry in Andhra Pradesh wouldn’t be able to afford the prices, due to the restrictions imposed by the Andhra Pradesh government.
As a result, the makers of RRR would have come down by a lot, when selling the film in AP circles. This could have a negative impact on the entire business of the film, as others too might then demand a cut in the theatrical prices. On the whole, RRR might just turn out to be the most affected film due to the AP government’s decision.
