RRR: No special support from AP government?

Yesterday, ace director SS Rajamouli along with his RRR producer DVV Danayya met Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The meeting happened at the chief minister’s residence in Taadepalli, Guntur. Reportedly, AP cinematography minister Perni Nani also attended the meeting.

As expected, Rajamouli and producer DVV Danayya requested the CM to hike the ticket prices for their upcoming film, RRR. Reportedly, the director and producer duo requested Jagan to permit for five shows screening across the state for two weeks. Inside reports say that Rajamouli even requested the CM to give permission for paid premieres from March 24th evening. After meeting Jagan, Rajamouli spoke with the media and said that the CM responded in a positive way and agreed for the hike of ticket rates. But as a quite contrast, Perni Nani in his press meet said that the ticket price will be same for all movies and clarified that Rajamouli’s film is not an exception.

After witnessing Perni Nani’s statement, RRR fans are doubting that the film will not any special support from the AP government. If this is the scenario, we have to wait and see how far will the AP distributors recover their invested amount on RRR.
