The release of director Rajamouli’s much-awaited film, RRR, has been postponed several times, due to various reasons, including both the waves of the coronavirus pandemic. NTR will be seen playing Komaram Bheem, and Ram Charan will be seen playing Alluri Sitaramaraju in the film. The film has been one of the most highly anticipated films ever since it has been announced, nearly two years ago.
The film was scheduled to release on October 13th this year but got postponed due to theatres not opening across the country. As RRR is made on a massive budget, on a pan-Indian scale, it needs the audiences of the country to go to the theatres and watch the film, for the film to perform well at the box office, and for the producers to get a decent amount of revenue.
While the news of the film’s release being postponed was announced some time ago, the new official release date wasn’t announced. Several dates have been considered for the film’s release, and it is now being said that the makers are planning to release the film for Sankranthi, as theatres in North Indian states have been given permission to reopen, especially in Maharashtra.
