He is one of the foremost musicians in Tollywood and is currently busy with the music of his upcoming film RRR, directed by his Rajamouli. Usually, any music director would charge a sum of Rs 4 to 5 crore for a film. It is said that Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman would charge somewhere close to Rs 7 crore. But, the latest buzz is that Keeravani has set a new record with the remuneration he’s receiving for his work in RRR.
The grapevine suggests that Keeravani’s salary for RRR stands at Rs 16 crore, which is a whopping sum of a music director. It is said that both Rajamouli and Keeravani involve their entire family in the production of their films. Their wives and daughters take part in the film’s making. Hence, Rajamouli and Keeravani have the habit of charging for the entire family. If the news remains to be true, then the composer becomes the first person to have earned more than Rs 10 crore.
