Roshan’s next based on Hyderabad’s Annexation

Actor Srikanth’s son Roshan made a mark for himself with his recent film Pelli Sandadi, in which he impressed everyone with his acting skills. The actor’s next has been announced today, on the occasion of his birthday. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is going to be directed by national award-winning director Pradeep Advaitam. The first look poster of the film has also been released today, where Roshan’s back is facing the audience, and the words “Troops March into Hyderabad” are written.

From the poster, it is evident that the film would be focusing on Hyderabad’s Annexation, which took place in September 1948. This was one year following India’s Independence when Hyderabad was still a princely state. Fearing a communal state, and other reasons, the government of India invaded Hyderabad, with the Indian army facing off with the Nizam Army.

It will now be interesting to see how the issue will be tackled by the director. Swapna Cinema will be co-producing this film, about which more details are yet to be announced.
