Role of Swathi is closer to my heart: Samantha

Samantha looks pretty much happy with the way Oh Baby has shaped up and she is confident about the film being a hit. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the film has actors like Naga Shaurya, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh and senior actor Lakshmi in key roles.

Samantha said that the role of Swathi, the one which she plays on Oh Baby is pretty much closer to heart and she is very much like Swathi in person too. Talking about the role, she said, “I always wanted to do a role in which I get to do most of the comedy. I love doing such roles, but it is very rare that heroines get chances to do some comedy on screen.

She also said that it was great working with Nandini Reddy after Jabardasth and that she has improved a lot as a director.

Asking on her expectations on this film, she said, “The first half of this year has been good and I hope the second half will also be. Super Deluxe and Majili have really given me enough appreciation and I have the same hopes from Oh Baby too. I have a strong feeling that audience will like the film.”
