Rohit Chandel Arrested Under POCSO Act

Television actor Rohit Chandel, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in a case involving the alleged stalking and harassment of a 16 year old girl.

The case has been registered under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

According to the police, the girl complained that Rohit followed her, argued with her while verbally abused her and assaulted her near her home on July 5th.

Police said the two had worked together earlier and claimed Rohit admitted that he used to meet her despite being blocked.

He has been sent to custody and the investigation is going on. Rohit and his representatives have not yet responded to these allegations.
