Puri Jagannath is known for writing different characters for his leads and creating trendy love stories with them. Before he created characters like Chanti(Idiot), Bujji(Bujjigadu made in Chennai), Pandu(Pokiri),Balu Mahendra (Deshamuduru), Sivamani and many more memorable characters with beautiful love stories evolving between the leads. Now, he is releasing Rogue, introducing Ishaan to Telugu and Kannada, audience. Puri Jagannath chatted with media about the movie.
The director expressed satisfaction with his lead actors and also praised Ishaan as a talent to look out for. Even though the film trailer makes the film look misogynistic, the director has clarified that his film will shows romance in a different angle with a hero who has his own way of dealing things and to understand completely, one needs to watch the film. He called for induction of more fresh talent in the industry and recommended every producer and director to give chances to new people.
On his next with Balakrishna, the director did not give away much but promised the movie will be unique and a complete mass entertainer. He expressed surprise on how Ishaan was a quick learner on sets that while working with a star, how it depends on the director and team to use them, Ishaan belongs to similar kind, he said. He wished for more planned approach towards a film from producers to avoid overspending on a film. He concluded by saying his Rogue film to be a tender and pure Love story!
