Hero RK Sagar, who recently impressed audiences with the thriller The 100, has announced a new unique project inspired by the lives of Singareni coal workers.
The movie planned as a pan-India project aims to bring the untold stories of these workers to the big screen exploring a backdrop rarely seen in Indian cinema.
Acclaimed director Jeevan Reddy will helm the project. He plans to focus on the struggles and human bonds of Singareni workers promising a gripping and fresh cinematic experience.
The makers say the film will show the tough mining environment, daily challenges and sacrifices, ensuring a strong emotional connection with viewers.
Sagar coming from a Singareni worker’s family, will play the lead role, adding authenticity to the story. Talks are ongoing to bring a popular star for a crucial role.
Actors from Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi industries are expected. Large-scale sets, including realistic underground mine replicas, are being prepared, with regular shooting starting in November.
