Rishab Shetty’s Kantara eligible for Oscars 2023

Kannada star Rishab Shetty’s pan-India blockbuster, Kantara qualifies for Oscars 2023. Revealing the exciting news, this morning the makers posted the news on social media platforms.

“We are overjoyed to share that ‘Kantara’ has received 2 Oscar qualifications! A heartfelt thank you to all who have supported us. We look forward to share this journey ahead with all of your support. Can’t wait to see it shine at the @shetty_rishab #Oscars #Kantara #HombaleFilms”, posted on Hombale Films’ official Twitter handle.

It means that Kantara is now eligible to get votes from Oscar members, which can lead to the movie making it to the final list of nominees. Oscar ballot voting is scheduled to happen between January 11- 17th. The final nominations for Oscars 2023 will be announced on January 24.

On the other hand, even ace director SS Rajamouli’s RRR also qualified for the Oscars nominations in the Best Actor( NTR), Best Director ( Rajamouli), and Popular Song( Naatu Naatu) categories.
