Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel to the blockbuster Kantara, is set for release on October 2nd. The recently released trailer impressed with its visuals and technical brilliance, though some felt the story looked weak.
At a press meet in Bangalore, Rishab shared that the film’s journey was filled with struggles. From the beginning, several accidents happened on the sets, and even some people related to the project passed away suddenly.
He revealed that he himself narrowly escaped death four to five times during the shoot. Despite these challenges the team worked very hard often going without proper sleep for months to finish the film on time.
He also said their faith and team spirit and each and everyone’s support helped them overcome all the struggles.
Produced by Hombale Films, the movie shows the ancient origins of the Bhoota Kola ritual and features Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.
“#KantaraChapter1: We haven’t slept properly for 3 months because of continuous work. Everyone supported it as like their own film♥️. In fact, if I count, I was about to die 4 or 5 times during shoot, the divinity we trust saved me♥️”
