Rhea Chakraborthy became a prime suspect in Sushanth Singh Rajput’s suicide case after his father KK Singh lodged a complaint against her with the charges of abetment of suicide. She denied doing anything to push Sushanth Singh Rajput towards deciding to die by suicide and to the charges of using him for money as well. CBI and ED are investigating on those charges.
But drugs angle opened up and NCB started investigating about her possession, procurement and consumption of banned drugs like weed made out of marijuana. She confessed for buying the marijuana but said that she bought it for Sushanth Singh Rajput. NCB arrested her on Tuesday, 8th September. She immediately went to Mumbai Court for bail and her plea got rejected. She decided to move to special court and even the Special Court rejected her bail plea on Friday. Now, her lawyers will move the petition to High Court on Monday.
Rhea Chakraborthy will remain in jail as she was sent to 14 day judicial custody on 8th September following her arrest.
