Director SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited film, RRR, is all set for a grand release around the globe on March 25th, and there are huge expectations on the film, which features NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, who will be seen playing Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju respectively.
Due to the massive budget on which the film has been made, the makers of RRR requested the governments of the Telugu states to increase the ticket prices. Considering the low ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh, the government agreed to increase the ticket prices by Rs. 75 per ticket for 10 days, but it is the decision of the Telangana government to also increase the already hiked prices for a week.
The really high ticket prices in Telangana are said to have indicated a revenue drop by 10% in the state. As a result, the distributors of the film are said to have requested the makers of RRR to consider decreasing the prices. If this turns out to be the case, then theatres would definitely see more audience. It is now to be seen what will happen.
