Four seasons ago, Sree Ramachandra created history by making entire nation to look at him and whenever given an opportunity proved his Mettle as a playback singer in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil as well. Taking him, Karunya, Hemachandra as inspiration many other South Indian singers also tried their luck at National platforms. Among them, established playback singer LM Revanth found ultimate honour this Sunday!
He got a chance to go head-on against Khuda Bhaksh and another Telugu talent, PVNS Rohit. Both the singers had their strong points in music but Revanth was able to topple them to the ultimate prize as he had looks and swag that made girls notice him. Also one of the judges, Sonu was thrilled with the performances and he wished all the success for three of them. Same sentiments were expressed by Anu Malik and Farah Khan as well, the co-judges of the show. Explaining their choice to let an established singer like Revanth to compete against novices, Anu said they thought no singer should be robbed off the opportunity to become Indian Idol from wherever they belong to in India. Initially, they were cautious about his participation but when they heard his voice and pronunciation of Hindi, even though he struggles in the language, they thought off going ahead with him. Well, Revanth won 25 Lakhs cash prize and a contract with Universal Music along with the title. The singer sounded ecstatic after the win and thanked judges and audience for his triumph.
