Respect Should Be Universal: Naveen Kasturia On Industry Hierarchy

Naveen Kasturia has spoken about the hidden struggles behind the glamour of the film industry. In a recent interview he revealed that many senior actors in India often disrespect crew members on sets a practice he feels is very common.

Naveen said that while social media has made people more aware of their image the harsh reality of stardom still exists.

He compared the situation to the West, where even junior staff are treated with dignity. “Here in India people think if someone earns less it’s okay to treat them poorly,” he said.

He even pointed out daily life examples like a watchman being forced to stand up for everyone. According to him, such hierarchy also reflects strongly on film sets.

Naveen emphasized that respect should be universal regardless of position or pay.
