Deepika Padukone reportedly stepped away from Kalki 2 and Spirit because she was not comfortable with the working conditions in South Indian cinema.
The issue sparked discussions on social media with many fans supporting her. Speaking during the promotions of Viswanath and Sons, director Venky Atluri shared his opinion.
He said every actor should respect and adapt to the work culture of the industry they choose to work in. Venky explained that if he directs a Hindi film, he would first understand Bollywood’s working style.
In the same way, he believes Hindi actors should adjust to Telugu cinema’s working culture, where shoots usually last 11 to 12 hours.
Viswanath and Sons, starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, is set for release on August 14th.
