Noted OTT platform Sony LIV has shifted its focus on Southern cinema and acquiring the streaming rights of a few interesting Tamil projects. Already, the digital channel has bagged the rights of Kollywood films such as critically acclaimed movie Aruvi director Arun’s Vaazhl, Kaaka Muttai director Manikandan’s Kadaisi Vivasayi and Karthick Naren’s Naragasooran.
Now, the latest we hear from our digital marketing sources is that the OTT channel has procured the streaming rights of the Tamil anthology, The Victim. Reportedly, the four segments anthology is being helmed by Venkat Prabhu, Ranjith, Rajesh and Chimbu Devan. The streaming date for the above-mentioned Tamil films will be out soon.
Sources also confirm that Sony LIV management is planning to bag the digital rights of a few Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films in the coming days.
