Reports: Thegimpu Literally Crashes at the Box Office

Tamil star Ajith Kumar’s actioner Thunivu under the direction of H Vinoth had a simultaneous release in Telugu as Thegimpu on January 11th. Opened to below-par reports, Thegimpu managed to collect Rs 1.38 crore share on the first day at the Telugu box office.

As yesterday, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy was released, the Telugu audience almost ignored Thegimpu. Meanwhile, the latest reports suggest that with the release of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya as well, Thegimpu literally crashed at the ticket windows in twin Telugu states.

For tomorrow things will be even worst as producer Dil Raju’s Vaarasudu is all set for a theatrical release on January 14th. Sources reveal that most of screens allocated for Thegimpu will be removed from tomorrow onwards.
