In an interview, Bollywood actress Renuka Shahane admitted that she didn’t drink any water while filming Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
In the movie Hum Aapke Hain Koun directed by Sooraj Bharjatya, Bollywood actress Renuka Shahane portrayed Madhuri Dixit’s sister. She related a tale about Madhuri Dixit’s keen eye for detail. Co-star Madhuri Dixit noted that Shahane wasn’t drinking water during the first several days of filming, according to Shahane. This was due to the lack of a bathroom on the set. But after that, Dixit gave Shahane some advice on how to stay hydrated.
Renuka Shahane shared, “Madhuri told me that even if there is a washroom problem, don’t drink less water because she faced a skin problem. She advised me, ‘Don’t drink less water. Even if it is an outdoor shoot, we will take four women with us and manage, but don’t drink less water because there might be skin issues’.”
Furthermore, the actress stated that dehydration was prevalent if one didn’t drink enough water because there used to be bright lights back then when shooting outside. She considered Dixit’s suggestion to be “incredible” as a result. The first two days of the shoot, according to Shahahe, she didn’t drink any water at all; instead, she went to the hotel to have a drink. It was awful, Shahahe remarked.
In an earlier episode of her granddaughter’s podcast, renowned actress Jaya Bachchan also discussed the problem of no restrooms on the sets. According to the actress, there were no vanity vans either. On Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, she stated “When we used to do outdoors, we didn’t have vans. We had to change behind the bushes. Everything. There were not even enough toilets.” The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress revealed that it was “awkward” and “embarrassing”. In fact, she also shared how during the days of menstruation, women used to change 3-4 sanitary pads and carried plastic bags to discard them, and when they would reach home, they’d finally “get rid of them”.
