Renu Desai Highlights Bigger Risks Than Stray Dogs

Renu Desai known for her work in animal welfare has spoken out about the recent outrage over stray dog attacks on children.

She questioned why dogs are being targeted when many more lives are lost every year due to road accidents, mosquito borne diseases and poor civic planning.

Referring to incidents in Amberpet and few more, Renu urged people to respond with logic and compassion instead of emotional demands to kill stray dogs.

She asked citizens to report aggressive or dangerous dogs so that animal welfare groups can step in to rescue, treat or rehabilitate them. According to her humane solutions are the right way forward.

Her comments came soon after a Supreme Court directive on stray dogs in public spaces. Meanwhile on the professional front, Renu Desai is currently acting in an upcoming Telugu film where she will be seen playing the role of a mother-in-law.
