Remuneration of actresses has notched up

Sai Pallavi, Pooja Hegde, Keerthy Suresh, Anupama Parameshwaran, Anu Emmanuel are the present generation sweethearts in Telugu Cinema. These actresses haven’t overpowered the likes of Shruthi Hassan, Samantha Akkineni, Kajal Aggarwal but are looking to occupy their places by the end of another two to three years span.

They have set the bar on performance and glamour scale really high. Sai Pallavi scored two hits in Fidaa and MCA. She commands a great following and also, a remuneration of one crore. Anupama Parameshwaran is getting 60 lakhs and Anu Emmanuel is asking for 50 lakhs. Keerthy Suresh is demanding 90 lakhs and above all, Pooja Hegde is demanding 1.5 crores.

Recently, Pooja Hegde got huge fame with Duvvada Jagannadam and that film increased her demand as the lead actress. She has offers from Mahesh25, NTR28 makers and she accepted to star in Mahesh25 and we do not know about NTR film yet. Anu Emmanuel and Keerthy Suresh are highly in demand as well. Anupama Parameshwaran about the remuneration said, “I cannot talk for others but I take money for the kind of work, I do. I will not lie that the amount seem high but I am being paid what I deserve.”

Famous producers said that there is dearth of good young actresses in Telugu Cinema and the few actresses are using it to their advantage by demanding huge amounts. While few are supporting them, some are commenting that such high prices will lead to a collapse in the Industry, if they keep increasing so much. We have to wait and see, if producers will start making actress oriented films more to compensate for the rates.
