After Remake Dussehra it is Dub Diwali?!

This Dussehra for Telugu Film Industry saw five movies releasing in a cluster but none of them are from the big heroes like the usual season releases are. Many fans have been missing their famous heroes punch dialogues for the season but Akkineni fans are having a treat with Naga Chaitanya’s Premam.

Interesting all the releases except for Sunil ‘s Eedu Gold Ehe were either Remakes or Dubbed movies. Even critically exclaimed movies Premam and Mana Oori Ramayanam were remade from successful Malayalam movies, Premam and Shutter. Except for Premam none of the releases are going strong for this season. Big heroes have let the movies take over the festive season and it seems to be Diwali will also become adda for dubbing movies.

The movies slated for Diwali release are Dhanush’s Kodi, Vijay Anthony’s Bethaludu, Karthi ‘s Kashmora and Vishal Tamannah’s movie is also up for release. The planning by big heroes this festival has been abysmal. Festival season is the best time when people are in mood for some classy entertainment from their beloved heroes. The opening weekend and long run for the films will also be great owing to the holidays in between the pooja ceremonies.

The euphoria that a big hero film generates during these festival long weekends is good for Telugu producers too. Rather than planning their movies like big Star heroes in other languages this sort of laziness and unplanned execution on their part, telugu producers are loosing on great cash in seasons. Any other film industry plan big films during these seasons like for Dussehra, Malayalam industry saw Mohan Lal and Mammotty releasing their films for record openings.

In Tamil, Remo, Rekka and Devi released for Dussehra starring Siva Karthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi and Prabhu Deva. The collections of these movies were on par with big stars like Dhanush and Vijay. But in Telugu the scene was not the same. Now for Diwali, Vijay Anthony, Karthi and Dhanush are fighting it out. In these films Kodi, Bethaludu and Kashmora have different themes and budgets too. While in Telugu difference has not been a concern as every other movie come with same theme and execution, we expect atleast our heroes capitalising on the festive season and helping producers to gain some profits.

We hope the planning of our telugu producers and heroes would change at least now, after looking at how people are ready to embrace good content even if it is remade or Dubbed from other languages.
