Regional cinema is now Indian cinema, says Chiranjeevi

The pre-release event for Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s upcoming social drama, Acharya happened in the evening hours of April 23rd. Along with the film unit, ace director SS Rajamouli graced the event as a chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Chiranjeevi said that regional cinema is no more a regional cinema but an Indian cinema. He also said that Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Yash, Tarak and Ram Charan are now the new pan-India stars and express confidence that many more will add to the list from South cinema soon. Megastar also felicitated director Rajamouli on the huge success of RRR at Acharya pre-release event.

Being directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya also stars Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, Tanikella Bharani among others in prominent roles. Niranjan Reddy in association with Konidela Productions Company bankrolled Acharya. Mani Sharma is the music composer for this high budget entertainer which is slated to hit the screens on April 29th.
