Real Life Silkyara Tunnel Rescue Heads To The Big Screen

Aamir Khan Productions, Kabir Khan Films and Australia’s Mind Blowing Films have announced Silkyara 41, a film based on the real life rescue of 41 workers trapped inside the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand.

The movie will also highlight the role of tunnelling expert Professor Arnold Dix in the rescue mission.

Directed by Kabir Khan and written by Australian writer Andrew Anastasios while the film is an Indo-Australian collaboration.

Aamir said the story is about courage, teamwork and great hope while Kabir Khan called it an inspiring human drama. Professor Arnold Dix said the rescue was much possible because of people from different backgrounds working together.

The makers believe the film will celebrate resilience, humanity and the strong friendship between India and Australia. Cast and release details will be announced later.
