Director Buchi Babu Sana, known for the blockbuster success of “Uppena,” is wasting no time in lining up his next directorial venture. Initially, there were talks of collaborating with a medium-range hero under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. However, Buchi Babu’s unwavering determination to work with a top-tier actor led him in a different direction.
Previously expressing his desire to work with Junior NTR, Buchi Babu has now set his sights on teaming up with the talented Ram Charan, acknowledging the director’s role in the success of “Rangasthalam.”
While the script for the new film is reportedly in its final stages, Buchi Babu recently engaged in discussions with Ram Charan to kickstart the project officially. Plans are underway to launch the film in August and commence regular shooting either towards the end of this year or in January 2024.
Before that, there are some pre-production tasks to complete, including a workshop that Ram Charan will participate in alongside Buchi Babu’s team, tentatively scheduled for October. While there have been aspirations to bring aboard AR Rahman as the music director, no final decision has been made regarding the female lead.
However, the name of Deepika Padukone has surfaced in discussions, although negotiations are ongoing. Buchi Babu is determined to expedite the project’s progress, aiming to complete filming within a year for a potential release in 2025.
