Several Tollywood celebrities faced drug use allegations in 2017 when the Special Investigation Team formed in Telangana questioned these celebrities about their drug usage. After questioning them and inquiring into the case, it was declared that there was no proof of drug usage by these celebrities.
After four years now, the ED department has taken over this case and is now investigating the financial aspect of the matter. So far, director Puri Jagannadh and actors Charmee Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, Nandu and Rana Daggubati were questioned by the ED, and today, actor Ravi Teja has appeared before the ED, at 10 AM. Notices were sent to a total of 10 people on the whole, and Rana was questioned for nearly 7 hours.
More celebrities are yet to be questioned by the ED, who is looking into the transactions of these celebrities. Huge transactions are said to have taken place from the bank accounts of these celebrities, which is now being looked into, with the ED getting to the bottom of why such huge transactions had to take place.
