Raveena Tandon Breaks Silence Addressing The Trolling

In a recent interview, Raveena Tandon responds angrily to the critics who questioned the legitimacy of her Padma Shri award.

One of the most well-known actresses from the 1990s is Raveena Tandon. She was a huge star back then and is now making the transition to the web genre. In 2021, she appeared in the show Aranyak, for which the actress received critical acclaim for her work. With her recent addition of the Padma Shri award from President Droupadi Murmu, Raveena received criticism on social media from users who felt that she didn’t merit the honor. The actress responded viciously to all the haters who were criticizing them in a recent interview.

With more than 7 million Instagram followers, Raveena is well-liked by her supporters. Throughout the course of his more than three decades in the entertainment business, Tandon has created some of the most notable on-screen personalities in Hindi films.

A new video of Raveena Tandon accepting the Padma Shri award from President Droupadi Murmu was posted on her Instagram account. Once the actress won the award, trolls criticized her and questioned how she could have won.

The actress said, “I don’t want to give any importance to them as they have their own agenda. The comments of a few, who have 20 followers and haven’t seen the work that I have done, will not diminish my body of work. Trolls only see the glamour; they don’t see the hard work and long hours we put in. We know how polarised things are on social media today, but others have sent such beautiful (wishes).”

“I tried to do movies on issues that I felt strongly about. The Nirbhaya case had shaken me so much that I was keen to do Maatr [2017]. Whether it was Daman, Jaago [2004] or Maatr, these films talked about violence against women, and [rallied for] women’s empowerment. I love commercial cinema, but I also look at projects that will make a difference to society.”
