Raveena Tandon shared an experience from London where she panicked and quickly left after a group of fans asked for selfies. On September 12, she apologized on social media for not taking photos with them. She explained that a recent upsetting incident in Bandra had made her wary of such situations, especially when she is alone.
She said, “A few days ago in London, some men approached me while I was walking. Given the crime reports in the area, I got scared when they asked if I was me. My first instinct was to deny it and walk away quickly, as I was alone. They just wanted a picture, which I usually don’t mind, but the Bandra incident left me nervous and uneasy when I’m by myself”.
Raveena added, “I should have probably taken the photo, as they might have been innocent fans. Instead, I panicked and walked away quickly, asking a security guard for help. I felt really bad and want to apologize if they are reading this”.
“It wasn’t my intention to upset anyone. I hope to meet you again and take a picture. I try to be accessible and down-to-earth, but sometimes I make mistakes. I’m really sorry. I hope you understand that my reaction was out of panic”.
In June, there were claims that Raveena’s driver had hit a woman and that Raveena had assaulted her while drunk. However, police investigations and CCTV footage from the Khar building where the incident supposedly happened showed that the women were near the actor’s car but were not struck by it.
