Rashmika Mandanna is set to play legendary Carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi in an upcoming biopic. The film will have its grand launch in Chennai tomorrow without fail with Kamal Haasan attending as the chief guest.
The biopic will showcase Subbulakshmi’s inspiring great life and musical journey. Rashmika taking on such an iconic role has already created much curiosity everywhere.
Anirudh will compose the music while Geetha Arts is producing the prestigious project. More details about the director and cast are expected at the launch for sure.
MS Subbulakshmi was one of India’s most respected classical singers. Born in Madurai and she received the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour.
She passed away in Chennai in 2004 at the age of 88.
