Rashmika Mandanna, who recently made news for her ‘9 to 4 work hours’ comment is once again in the spotlight and this time for her statement about menstrual periods.
In a interview she said that men should experience periods at least once to understand the pain women go through every month.
Rashmika made this remark while appearing as a guest on Jagapathi Babu’s chat show. In the promo when Jagapathi Babu asked if she wished men could also get periods, Rashmika replied “Yes, sir. Men should at least get periods once so they know that pain”.
Her comment quickly went viral and sparked mixed reactions online. While some supported her others criticized the statement.
As her film The Girlfriend directed by Rahul Ravindran and also starring Dheekshith Shetty and Anu Emmanuel, releases tomorrow, Rashmika is once again trending across social media.
She said that if one understands the period pain even once, they’ll develop empathy & then talk about it in a normalized way. But for that statement on period pain, u people are making lists of men’s problems instead.
She didn’t deny men’s struggles; it’s a separate discussion https://t.co/788gULBAJB pic.twitter.com/OmU9NZ9gS7— Rushieee_Stan (@rashmika_girllv) November 6, 2025
