A project in the combination of Kollywood star director Shankar and Tollywood hero Ram Charan was officially announced a couple of weeks back. Leading producer Dil Raju will be bankrolling the movie and is expected to go on the floors from the second half of 2021.
Meanwhile, a few days back news came out that young starlet Rashmika Mandanna is under consideration for the female lead role in the movie. But as a twist in the tale, Kollywood production house Lyca Productions approached the Madras High Court and filed a complaint against Shankar in regards to Indian 2 making.
Reportedly, the Madras Court is going to unveil the final verdict regarding the Indian 2 dispute on April 28th. If the verdict comes in favourable to Lyca Productions, Shankar has no option but to postpone all commitments and resume the shooting for Indian 2 immediately.
Now, the fresh news is that considering the above scenario, Rashmika refused to take the advance amount from the makers as she wanted to wait and see till the verdict is out and then take a stand on Shankar-Ram Charan’s project.
