Rashmika Mandanna’s first look from her upcoming period-action drama, Chhaava, was unveiled on Tuesday. Featuring Vicky Kaushal in the titular role of Maratha king and warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika will be seen playing the role of his wife, Queen Yesubai.
In the poster, Rashmika looks ethereal, dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire, heavy jewelry, and signature bindis worn by Marathi women.
Sharing the poster on Maddock Films’ Instagram page, the post was captioned: “Behind every great king, there stands a queen of unmatched strength. Introducing @rashmika_mandanna as Maharani Yesubai – the pride of Swarajya. #ChhaavaTrailer Out Tomorrow! Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025. #Chhaava #ChhaavaOnFeb14 (sic).”

Earlier, the makers of the film had released multiple looks of Vicky, promising a never-before-witnessed spectacle. Chhaava’s trailer will be released on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Rashmika and Vicky have been paired together on-screen for the first time. The film is based on a Marathi book of the same title, written by Shivaji Sawant. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava also features Akshaye Khanna in a key role. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, AR Rahman has composed the music for the film.
Chhaava is set to hit the screens on February 14.
