Rangeela girl steps into politics

Urmila Mathondkar, is known for her close association with Ram Gopal Verma. She debuted in Telugu with his movies, Antham and Gayam.

She became a national sensation when she did bold song in Rangeela and did not mind skin show. Her acting skills have gotten noticed in films like Satya.

The actress has been inactive in Bollywood from past decade and she now decided to take a plunge into politics. She will be contesting from Mumbai North as Congress Candidate.

Govinda won from same constituency in 2004 and Sanjay Nirupam won it in 2009, as Govinda quit politics. Both worked for Congress. Now, Urmila is contesting against BJP sitting MP from the constituency.
