Ranbir Restores Raj Kapoor’s Dream

Ranbir Kapoor is planning to revive the RK Studios founded by his grandfather Raj Kapoor. This is not just a business move but it is Ranbir’s heartfelt effort to honor the Kapoor family legacy.

He plans to produce films that blend the classic RK spirit with trendy modern storytelling to connect with the viewers. The revival work has already started with many stories shortlisted and production expected to start soon.

Ranbir also aims to turn the new RK Studios into a creative hub in Mumbai complete with office spaces and a screening theater.

This project fulfills his late father Rishi Kapoor’s dream of continuing the family cinematic heritage. RK Studios established in 1948 produced timeless classics.

The last film made under RK Films was Aa Ab Laut Chalen. Unfortunately a fire accident in 2017 destroyed much of the studio and it was sold then. Now, Ranbir’s revival plan marks a new chapter, a tribute to his family’s golden legacy in Indian cinema.
