A few days ago, Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced that his upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas, will release in theatres on October 29, 2027.
The announcement created discussion on social media as Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana 2 was also expected to release around the same time.
However, a report claims that Ranbir informed Vanga about the postponement of Ramayana 2.
This reportedly helped the director secure the Diwali 2027 release date for Spirit before other filmmakers could plan releases for the same period. Ranbir and Vanga developed a close bond while working together on Animal.
The report also stated that producer Bhushan Kumar agreed with Vanga’s decision, after which they officially announced the release date.
