Rana Daggubati is on a roll with his choice of movies. Once he accepted Bhallaladeva character in Bahubali, he dedicated himself to the movie and did accept films like Baby, Arrambham and even did a cameo in Yeh Jawani Hein Deewani. He is the only Tollywood actor in the latest breed to juice up his resume with films in languages like Hindi, Tamil other than Telugu.As a debutant he did good with Leader and then impressed Rohan Sippy, to be made part of his movie, Dum Maaro Dum with Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan. The movie did not do great at box office but earned Rana some friends in Mumbai.
He then was unsuccessful with his movies in Telugu as lead until Bahubali, he did not have any luck at the box office. But him going to different industries helped him big time and he is now riping benefits.He accepted in 2015 to be part of a young director’s movie about war at the sea, India’s greatest Navy Triumph ever, The Ghazi Attack. The movie follows the story of a young soldier who participated in the 1971 war between India and Pakisthan, in liberating Bangladesh. PNS Ghazi was the deadly submarine employed by Pakisthan to win the war at sea against India.
India once beaten by the mighty submarine, were able to sink it during the early morning hours in Bay of Bengal near Vishakhapattanam. The story with this interesting attack, has been adapted into a two hour movie by Sankalp Reddy, a Telugu boy who learnt craft in Australia. He mesmerized Rana with his script and the movie is being made in Hindi and Telugu. It will dubbed and released in Tamil too. Big producer like Karan Johar is presenting the movie and AA films is producing the film. The film will be released on 17th February 2017.
