Director Teja’s last film Sita was a disaster at the box office. The film, which features Kajal Aggarwal and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, tested the patience of the audience. After a brief hiatus, the filmmaker had announced two films titled Alamelu Manga Venkataramana and Rakshasa Rajyamlo Ravanasurudu. The latest development is that the filmmaker’s Rakshasa Rajyamlo Ravansasurudu is touted to be a political story. Earlier, the duo had teamed up for a political film titled Nene Raju Nene Mantri, which chronicled the rise of a common man become a politician and the after-effects.

The new film will deal with the corrupt political system and how Rana’s character gets sucked into it forms the story. However, Rana is known for not doing a similar kind of films. So, we have to wait and see if they will team up fora political film or for a different film altogether. We had earlier reported that the filmmaker had signed on Kajal Aggarwal or Alamelu Manga Venkatramana. However, it looks like she is replaced by Keerthy Suresh in the film. The Mahanati actress will be sharing the screen space with Gopichand in this family drama, which is on the lines of Family Circus.
